REMBRANDT HOTEL & SUITES BANGKOK, THAILAND
Checking in to check out!
Location, location, location! A landmark of the city for 30 years, this ever-evolving hotel is situated in a quiet street just a few minutes’ walk from Bangkok’s famous Sukhumvit Road, major shopping malls, as well as the Skytrain and Metro. You really couldn’t get a better located hotel for leisure and business travellers.
I recently spent a few days staying in this well-established hotel, trying out the various facilities and taking lots of photos…

Lobby…
The renovated lobby includes a great lobby bar with TV screens for watching the latest matches. Local artworks line the walls of the vast entrance. The resident tuk-tuk is the perfect place for Instagrammable photos and there ‘s another tuk-tuk that provides regular complimentary shuttle rides to Sukhumvit Road and the public transport system..
Health & Wellness
The rooftop pool on the 4th floor offers views over the surrounding streets and there’s a well-equipped fitness centre for keeping in shape. Staff are on hand to keep you hydrated and satiated with drinks and snacks – and the Saturday poolside brunch comes highly recommended!
Rooms & Suites
The 400-plus rooms come in various sizes and are being constantly upgraded to ensure they keep up to date with newer hotels. Families are very well catered for with Family Rooms featuring good size bunkbeds.
Restaurants & Bars
The Rembrandt’s award-winning restaurants include Mexicana, one of the first Mexican restaurants to open in Bangkok, and Rang Mahal serving authentic Indian fare. My favourite hangout is 1826 Rooftop Bar where you can bask in the skyline of Bangkok while enjoying refreshing cocktails, wines and snacks.
Surroundings – Benjakitti Forest Park
The bright lights of Bangkok are right on your doorstep at Rembrandt – shopping malls, bars, restaurants, transport etc etc. However head to the nearby Benjakitti Forest Park for an immersion in nature right in the heart of the concrete jungle. Elevated walkways and paths lead through wetlands and mangroves teeming with birds, lizards and tropical plants.
